Welcome to Hindu Intellectual (“HI”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, content, features, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

“Content” includes text, articles, explanations, images, graphics, audio/video, mantras, bhajans, aartis, chalisa, library pages, festival content, and any other materials available through the Services.

“Donation” means any voluntary payment made to support HI.

2) About Our Services

HI is a platform dedicated to sharing knowledge and resources related to Sanatan Dharma and Hindu intellectual/spiritual heritage. Our Services may include (depending on availability): a content library, festival information, bhajans/aartis/mantras/chalisa, educational programs, community features, contests, and search tools.

We may add, remove, or change features at any time.

3) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent/guardian.
You agree that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under applicable law.

4) Account Registration, Login & Security

Some features may require you to create an account or log in. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information, and keep it updated.
Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
Immediately notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity on your account unless caused by our negligence. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5) Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a respectful manner. You must NOT:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or incite violence against any person or group.
Post hate speech, sexually explicit content, or content promoting self-harm.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation.

6) Community Standards & Moderation

We may offer interactive areas (comments, forms, contests, etc.). We reserve the right to:

Review, moderate, remove, or restrict any User Content at our discretion.
Limit visibility of content or accounts (e.g., shadow limits, temporary locks) to protect the community.
Report illegal activities to authorities if required.

We do not guarantee that all harmful or inappropriate content will be removed immediately.

7) User Content License

If you submit User Content, you:

Confirm you own it or have the necessary rights/permissions to submit it.
Grant HI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (format/resize), publish, distribute, and display it for operating, promoting, and improving the Services.
Understand that your User Content may be visible publicly depending on the feature.

You can request removal of your User Content by contacting us, but copies may remain in backups/logs for a limited period, or where required by law.

8) Intellectual Property Rights

All Content and site elements (design, logos, UI, text, graphics) are owned by HI or licensed to HI, unless stated otherwise. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial use.

You may NOT copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our Content without written permission, except where allowed under applicable law.

9) Copyright / Takedown Requests

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any Content infringes your copyright or other IP rights, email us with:

Your name and contact details
A description/link of the allegedly infringing material
Proof of ownership or authorization
A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized

We will review and take appropriate action (which may include removing content).

10) Donations, Payments & Refund Policy

HI may accept voluntary Donations to support our mission and operations.

Donations are typically non-refundable. However, accidental/duplicate transactions may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Where applicable, refunds (if approved) will be processed to the original payment method and may take time depending on banks/payment partners.
You are responsible for any bank charges, payment gateway fees, taxes, or levies that may apply.
We do not guarantee any particular benefit, outcome, or service level in exchange for Donations.

If you believe a Donation was made in error, contact us promptly with transaction details.

11) Contests, Campaigns & Special Programs

HI may run contests or special programs. Additional rules may apply and will be provided with the contest/program. If there is a conflict between those rules and these Terms, the contest/program rules will govern for that specific feature.

We reserve the right to disqualify entries for fraud, manipulation, policy violations, or unfair practices.

12) Third-Party Links & Services

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., payment gateways, embedded content). We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the third party.

13) Advertising, Sponsorships & Affiliate Disclosures

We may display advertisements or sponsored content and may include affiliate links. This means we may earn revenue when users interact with ads or purchase through certain links. Sponsored/affiliate content will be presented in a reasonable manner, but you should independently verify products/services before purchasing.

14) Privacy, Cookies & Analytics

Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy. We may use cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics/Tag Manager) to understand usage and improve the site. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HI, its team, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the Services
Your violation of these Terms
Your infringement of any rights of a third party
Your User Content

18) Suspension, Termination & Access Restrictions

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access (with or without notice) if we believe:

You violated these Terms
Your activity poses security, legal, or community risk
We must do so to comply with law or authorities

Termination does not limit our right to pursue legal remedies.

19) Availability, Maintenance & Force Majeure

We aim to keep the Services available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, technical issues, or events beyond our control (including natural disasters, outages, government actions, cyberattacks, or network failures).

20) Changes to the Services or Terms
